7 epic American Thanksgiving foods that need to come to Ireland immediately
1. Snickers salad
So we’re playing fast and loose with the term “salad” here, but frankly, a Snickers Salad sounds divine. It’s essentially crumbled up Snickers bars, apple and whipped cream served up in a bowl.

2. Candied yams
Candied yams are basically sweet potatoes made with sugar, marshmallows and loads of other sweet things, and it’s one of the most popular Thanksgiving side dishes.
It might sound sacrilegious, but we’re assured it’s actually delicious.
3. Pecan pie
The words “pecan pie” will likely remind you of this iconic scene from When Harry Met Sally, but it’s also one of the most beloved Thanksgiving desserts.
For some reason it’s never really made it on this side of the Atlantic and it’s time we sorted that, if you ask us.
4. Cornbread
A Thanksgiving staple.
It can be sweet or savoury, and is often used to make stuffing.
